Yangwang U9 Track Edition world record details
Yangwang U9 Track Edition has recently achieved a new world record of becoming the fastest electric vehicle in the world. The U9-based Track car reached a top speed of 472.41 km/h, which broke the previous world record of Aspark Owl set in 2024.
Speaking of the details, the U9 Track Edition is based on the same platform as the U9, but it is equipped with four electric motors that can rev up to 30,000 rpm. Each of these motors is mounted on every wheel.
Moreover, the combined output of these four electric motors is 2,958 bhp, which makes it the most powerful electric car in the world. Meanwhile, the individual power generated by each of the motors is 744.26 bhp.
To achieve this power figure and performance, Yangwang’s engineering team has restructured the battery heat management system with the 1,200V ultra-high-voltage architecture. It also gets the trademark DiSus-X system that maintains the pitch and roll of the car, and can also lead to hopping or jumping by detecting potholes or speed bumps.
It also gets the vehicle torque vectoring that negates the slip and loss of traction during high speed. This system can make up to 100 corrections per second to the car. Additionally, the rear wing is fitted with a carbon fibre splitter that offers high downforce.
Our say
The Chinese electric vehicles are certainly becoming the best worldwide. With brands like Ynagwang proving their potential, the other renowned makers like Tesla are seen struggling in specific markets led by these Chinese EV makers.
