Yamaha will return to WBSK in 2016

Its good news for Yamaha fans.

Yamaha has announced its return in the World Superbike Championship for 2016. Crescent Racing will be partnering with Yamaha Motor Europe along with the title sponsor PATA. The team will be using the new YZF-R1 under the expert riding of 2014 World Superbike Champion Sylvian Guintoli and 2013 British superbike champion Alex Lowes.

The year 2009 was the first time Yamaha won the World Superbike Championship title with rider Ben Spies but in 2011 Yamaha exited the WSBK championship.

Now after 5 years Yamaha is coming back and this time in a big way. PATA has been a big name in the WSBK championship and Crescent is the only UK based team which has over 20 years of racing history in both national and global level. With the new powerful machine, two talented riders and experienced partners Yamaha has come back as a stronger contender now.
