What will be the new features of the Skoda Kushaq facelift?
A new test mule of the upcoming Kushaq facelift has shown that the new SUV will get advanced features like a panoramic sunroof. While such a feature might not sound pathbreaking, the updated model will be equipped up to the brim to compete with the segment topper, which is the Hyundai Creta.
One of the major drawbacks of the Kushaq has been its lack of the latest and modern equipment like ambient lights, panoramic sunroof, and more. With the facelift, Skoda will add all the bells and whistles that the current model is missing, including the Level 2 ADAS, which will further add to its safety quotient.
In terms of changes, we are expecting minor exterior updates, which will likely offer a new set of LED lights, new bumpers, new alloy wheels, etc. However, it is the cabin experience of the new Kushaq that will offer a thick flair of change as it is rumoured to get a new dashboard, bigger screen, and more features.
Meanwhile, the European mid-size SUV is set to remain unchanged. The current 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engine options will be offered as it is, with the options of manual and automatic gearboxes.
The expected launch timeline of the updated Kushaq is by the first quarter of the next year. Prices will also take a slight hike due to the new feature additions.
Our say
The Kushaq sales have been all-time low, and the company is still struggling to revive the mid-size SUV in India. However, it is the lack of space and premium features that keep buyers away. Hence, the new facelift is under works, so that buyers will get more value.
