What to expect from the upcoming Nissan SUV?
Nissan teased the silhouette images of its upcoming mid-size SUV in 2024. The unnamed SUV was shown with a striking outlook, equipped with sleek connected LED lights, an illuminated logo, and a boxy design.
The test car spotted looks identical to the teaser images shared earlier; however, it is heavily camouflaged to cover the design details and features. For what is known, it will get a big size, a proper SUV outlook, LED lights, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a panoramic sunroof.
Meanwhile, there is now ADAS equipment on the test car, which is rather abnormal as it is a rebadged new-generation Renault Duster – an SUV that already has ADAS internationally.
On the inside, it is expected to feature the majority of a design similar to the new Duster. However, it will get its fair share of Nissan rebranding and revamped interiors, which will include the new steering wheel and a different cabin theme.
Powering the new Nissan SUV will be an array of petrol, CNG, and hybrid engine options. While it will get an LPG option as well, that is only reserved for select European markets.
Nissan is expected to launch this new SUV in India by the end of 2026. Upon its launch, it will rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder SUVs.
Our say
The new spy shots of the upcoming Nissan SUV are a ray of hope for the Indian-wing of the Japanese carmaker. As of now, Nissan has only one product in India that has kept it alive – the Magnite. This new SUV will expand the company’s portfolio and bring more sales.
