What to expect from the upcoming Honda electric bike?
As seen in the released teaser video, the heavily camouflaged motorcycle is seen passing by in the blink of an eye. However, the visible cues show that it will possess a very dedicated riding stance.
Visually, the teaser shows that it will get the wide DRLs, a big TFT console with smartphone connectivity and advanced features, bar-end mirrors, and a clip-on handlebar as well.
Speaking of its positioning, Honda is likely going to place it among the mid-size electric motorcycles, a segment which is nearly non-existent in India as of now. The only rival of this upcoming e-bike in India is the Ultraviolette F77.
Honda has also confirmed that this motorcycle will be equipped with Combined Charging System type 2 (CCS2), which is usually seen on electric cars for rapid charging and efficient energy transfer.
Meanwhile, Honda has also confirmed that this upcoming electric bike will offer performance equivalent to a mid-size 500cc motorcycle. Hence, we can assume that its power output will range in the likes of 50 bhp.
More details regarding its specifications, battery, performance, etc, will be revealed in the coming days.
Our say
Honda has been on the back foot while stepping into the electric two-wheeler segment worldwide. The Japanese company took its sweet time and let the EV infrastructure develop before debuting its first e-bike.
