Upcoming Hero Glamour 125 to get cruise control
The latest online teaser image of the upcoming Glamour 125 shows the “most futuristic 125cc” branding. This further clarifies the fact that the new Glamour is just around the corner, and it will get a cruise control feature.
Not long ago, the spy shots of a prototype unit surfaced online. The most interesting bit was the cruise control switch on the new Glamour 125. Additionally, the prototype bike had an LCD console to display the speedometer, odometer, distance-to-empty, and other critical details. This will mean that the new Glamour is possibly going to offer Bluetooth connectivity and connected features like navigation and more.
However, the new model will most probably get cosmetic revisions and feature upgrades. It will remain unaltered mechanically, and continue using the current-gen 124.7 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 10 bhp and 10 Nm and gets mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The rest of the details, including the body design, hardware, and pricing, are yet to be determined. The company has slated the launch timeline for August 19/20, which will be complemented by the first media rides as well.
Our say
The Glamour 125 has been a domestic hit for Hero in the Indian commuter motorcycle space. However, it has been long overdue for a major update, which is now expected to arrive through the new model launch.
