Bugatti Brouillard – A special hypercar benchmark
While Bugatti is no other regular carmaker, the brand has now gone one step ahead with its exclusivity of making special cars for its elite customers. At the Monterey Car Week 2025, the brand unveiled its latest, one-of-one model, called Brouillard.
Named after the prestigious horse of Ettore Bugatti, the Brouillard is the first and only coachbuilt of its type based on the company’s exclusive Programme Solitaire, which is destined to offer ultra-rare, specifically handbuilt, and special one-of-one type of hypercars.
The design of the Brouillard is unique and low-slung with a widebody appeal. It features clean lines, chiselled panels, and a ducktailed spoiler to make it stand out from the pool of other hypercars, including the Chiron and other Bugatti one-make models. It has been painted in a beautiful green shade, and the lower body portion features a green carbon fibre outlook.
On the inside, it features the green carbon fibre highlights, a crystal green gearshift lever with a hand-built sculpture of the Brouillard horse inside. Other key highlights of the cabin include the Paris-sourced tartan fabric for seats and upholstery, a fixed glass roof that mimics the cathedral appeal, and machined aluminium components for the dashboard, door pads, and other key elements.
Powering this one-of-a-kind hypercar is the ultra-powerful 8.0-litre, quad-turbo, W16 petrol engine, which is mated to a hybrid assist system to offer a cumulative power output of up to 1,578 bhp. Other critical bits include the active aerodynamic packaging that offers high-speed aid. The top speed of the Bouillard is not disclosed, but we expect it to be well above the 400 km/h mark.
Speaking of the Programme Solitaire, Bugatti will be manufacturing only two creations per year. There is no fixed cost attached to this program as these special models will be head-to-toe customised and tuned for perfection as per the most elite customers around the globe.
Our say
The new Brouillard is a very special collector’s car that represents the history of Bugatti cars and carries the legacy of ultra-exclusivity of the brand’s finesse in making hand-built cars for the wealthiest of customers around the world.
