Launch is expected during the festive season, which means you might be able to gift yourself a smarter EV before Diwali.
What’s in the ADAS suite?
The Nexon EV Empowered+ A will pack a full set of semi-autonomous features:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist and lane departure warning
- Forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking
- Traffic sign recognition
- Auto high beam assist

These features aim to make highway driving safer and reduce fatigue during long commutes. It’s a big leap for a compact EV that’s still priced under ₹20 lakh.
Still familiar, now smarter
The Empowered+ A variant builds on the already feature-rich Empowered 45 and Empowered Plus 45 trims. You still get the 45kWh battery pack with a real-world range of 350–375 km, fast charging (20–80% in 20 minutes), and performance figures of 143hp and 215Nm torque. It does 0–100 km/h in under nine seconds, which is quick enough to keep things interesting.
Inside, the Nexon EV continues to offer:
- JBL sound system with subwoofer
- 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring
- Voice-assisted panoramic sunroof
- Ventilated leatherette seats
- Arcade.ev app suite
- 31.24 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
The Dark Edition and Red Dark Edition trims will also get ADAS, adding style to the substance.
Price and positioning
The current top-spec Nexon EV Empowered+ costs INR 16.99 lakh (INR17.19 lakh for Red Dark). The new ADAS-equipped variant is expected to be priced around INR 17.75–INR 17.99 lakh. That’s still cheaper than the MG Windsor Essence Pro, which starts at INR 18.39 lakh. Tata’s move keeps the Nexon EV competitive while adding serious tech.
