Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Touring variant spied testing

Key highlights

  • Touring-focused Himalayan 750 spotted with alloy wheels and road-biased tyres
  • Powered by a new 750cc parallel-twin engine with expected output over 50 bhp
  • Likely to debut at EICMA 2025, followed by launch at Royal Enfield Motoverse

Royal Enfield’s long-awaited Himalayan 750 is inching closer to production, and the latest spy shots confirm what many have been hoping for; a proper touring variant. Spotted testing in Chennai, the prototype reveals a road-biased setup with alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, and a host of touring-friendly features that set it apart from the off-road-focused Himalayan 450.

This new model is expected to be Royal Enfield’s first twin-cylinder adventure tourer, and it looks ready to take on rivals like the Honda NX500 and Benelli TRK 502.

Design and Touring Setup

The test mule sports 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, wrapped in tubeless road-spec tyres. This marks a shift from earlier prototypes that featured wire-spoke rims. The bike also gets a tall windscreen, split seats, sump guard, and pannier mounts, all pointing to its long-distance touring intent.

Other visible elements include:

  • Circular TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and Google Maps support
  • Upswept exhaust and trapezoidal mirrors
  • LED lighting and twin front disc brakes with dual-channel ABS
  • Adjustable USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear

The riding triangle appears upright and relaxed, with wide handlebars and centrally placed footpegs—ideal for munching miles without breaking your back.

Engine and Performance

At the heart of the Himalayan 750 is a new 750cc parallel-twin engine, likely a bored-out version of the 648cc motor used in the Interceptor and Continental GT. While official figures are yet to be confirmed, early estimates suggest over 50 bhp and 60 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Features and Expected Launch

The Himalayan 750 is expected to come loaded with:

  • Cruise control
  • Ride modes and traction control
  • Bluetooth-based connectivity functions
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • Top box rack and robust grab rails

Royal Enfield is likely to unveil the bike at EICMA 2025 in Milan, with a full launch expected at Motoverse 2025 in Goa. Pricing is expected to be north of INR 4 lakh, making it the most premium Royal Enfield yet—but still more affordable than most international rivals.
