Ola Diamondhead to beat the Ultraviolette F77 range internationally?
Despite the long list of troubles, Ola Electric does not seem to be stopping anytime soon. The Bengaluru-based EV brand has revealed the latest prototype of its upcoming Diamondhead e-bike. It will become the first premium performance electric motorcycle of the brand upon its launch.
As far as the details are concerned, it will feature the latest tech, such as the ADAS safety features, which will include the adaptive cruise control, front collision avoidance, emergency auto braking, lane change assist, and more. Moreover, it will feature a monoshock suspension at the front and bar-end mirrors for a committed riding experience.
Ola has also revealed that it will be positioned in the Rs 5 lakh price segment, the same segment that is also shared by the Ultraviolette. Although the brand has not officially disclosed who it is eyeing, we can sense that it is the F77 e-bike range that is bothering Ola a lot lately due to its success.
Meanwhile, the Diamondhead is likely to offer a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 2 seconds, which is set to make it the quickest bike in the segment at the time of the launch. As far as the launch is concerned, the revealed timeline is 2027 for the Indian market.
Our say
The Diamondhead prototype looks radical and polarising at the first glance. But, it will become the most premium e-bike of the brand when launched in its production guise – which is expected to look much better than the prototype.
