Nissan Motor India has rolled out a new initiative for its compact SUV buyers; the segment-first 10-Year Extended Warranty Plan, exclusively for the New Nissan Magnite. Priced at an ultra-affordable INR 0.22/km or INR 12/day (~ INR 44,000), the plan offers peace of mind for up to 10 years or 2 lakh kilometres, making it the longest warranty coverage in the B-SUV segment.
This move comes on the heels of the Magnite earning a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, reinforcing its position as one of India’s safest sub-4m SUVs.
What’s covered and how it works?
The extended warranty builds on the standard 3-year warranty, with flexible options like:
- 3+1, 3+2, 3+3, 3+4, and the segment-first 3+7 years
- First 7 years: full mechanical and electrical coverage
- 8th to 10th year: engine and transmission coverage
Repairs are cashless at any Nissan-authorised service centre, with no cap on claim value or frequency. All work is done using genuine Nissan parts, ensuring long-term reliability.
Financing and Eligibility
Customers can purchase the plan:
- At the time of buying the vehicle
- Anytime during the standard warranty period
Financing is available via Nissan Finance, making it easier to bundle with the car purchase. The plan is only valid for privately owned New Magnite models sold from October 2024 onwards, which come with a 3-year standard warranty. Older Magnite models with a 2-year warranty are not eligible.
Safety and Platform
The New Magnite is built on the CMF-A+ platform, and comes loaded with over 40 safety features, including:
- 6 airbags
- ABS + EBD
- ESC, TCS, Hill Start Assist
- Brake Assist, TPMS
- 67% high-tensile steel body
It’s sold in over 65 countries, and recently launched the Kuro Edition with a bold blacked-out theme.
