Expected changes on the Mahindra XUV700 facelift
The latest spy shots of the XUV700 test mule showcase that it will feature a heavily revised front design and an all-new interior. At the front, the test car is seen with the new set of dual-projector headlights, which were much needed as the current reflector headlamps are not adequate at times (especially on the lower spec variant).
Meanwhile, an interior shot shows that the dashboard and the steering wheel on the new model will be redesigned as well. The dashboard will feature a triple-screen setup, something that we see on the XEV 9e. Moreover, the steering wheel is also carried as it is from the XEV 9e, as it now features a rectangular shape with two spokes and haptic controls.
Other changes include the new bumpers, new LED taillights, new alloy wheels, and new colour options. The XUV700 facelift is expected to be launched in India by early 2026. It will feature the new-age technology, which will be carried over from the XEV 9e itself.
Speaking of the engine and transmission options, the facelift will continue to be offered with the current 2.2L m-Hawk diesel and the 2.0L turbo petrol engines. Both of these engine options are available with a manual and an automatic transmission.
With the introduction of new features and the latest safety and comfort features, the prices of the XUV700 facelift will be marginally higher than the current model.
Our say
Along with the XUV700 facelift, Mahindra is also working on a new range of SUVs, including the new-gen Bolero Neo, that will be based on a new NU_IQ platform. This platform was recently unveiled at the Freedom_NU event on August 15.
