Kinetic electric scooter spied, new-gen ZX?
Kinetic Green is riding the iconic scooter wave as the company is now working on introducing a revival of the old ZX scooter. After the return of the Lune e-scooter, this upcoming unnamed scooter test mule has been spied in Pune recently.
Although completely camouflaged, the test scooter looks fondly similar to the old Kinetic Honda ZX scooter. Its front design has a similar apron and an identical rectangular headlamp with a cowl.
Moreover, the side panels are also straight and plain, giving it a matching vibe to the iconic ZX model. Meanwhile, the handlebar and even the mirrors are of a similar shape to the ZX.
While the mechanical setup and battery specs are unknown as of now, it does get a hub-mounted electric motor, hinting that Kinetic will position it as an affordable e-scooter.
The test scooter has telescopic front shock absorbers, spring-type shock absorbers at the rear, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake.
Considering that Kinetic had patented the design of a similar scooter that looked identical to the ZX, we suspect that the launch is not far away. It is most likely to be offered as a family-centric scooter with an expected price range of Rs 1 lakh.
Our verdict
Kinetic made its comeback in the two-wheeler retail not long ago. The electric Luna scooter served as a pivot launch for the company’s comeback. Now, this upcoming scooter will focus on generating mass revenue with its family-centric design and utility.
