What to expect from the upcoming Moto Guzzi motorcycle?

While Moto Guzzi does not hold a widespread name in India, it is a renowned and premium motorcycle manufacturer internationally. The brand is known for its big capacity air-cooled V-twin motorcycles, but that is soon going to change.

As per the latest online reports, the upcoming entry-level neo-retro Moto Guzzi motorcycle, which was spotted earlier this year for the first time, is believed to be derived from Aprilia’s 457cc bikes.

Moto Guzzi 457cc bike

It is suspected that the upcoming Moto Guzzi bike will feature the 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine of the RS457/Tuono 457 bikes, which will make it the first-ever LC engine bike of the brand.

Meanwhile, the spy shots of the motorcycle showcase that it will get a modern-retro design with a slightly committed riding posture. This will make it suitable for city riding, as well as highway touring.

While the majority of the critical details about this unnamed bike are scarce for now, we know that it will feature USD front forks, dual shockers at the rear, engine and mechanical components as Aprilia’s 457cc bikes, and modern features like a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity.

Our say

Moto Guzzi’s shift towards the new-gen liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine technology is likely going to change its future course of product evolution. With the 457cc mid-segment bike, Moto Guzzi can also utilise Piaggio’s India-based facility and expand its footprint in the rapidly evolving Indian market.
