JSW MG India has introduced its flagship car, the M9 EV. The electric MPV will be sold exclusively via the newly inaugurated MG Select dealerships nationwide. Read all the details below.

MG M9 electric MPV: All details you need to know
MG has officially announced the pricing of its new M9 EV. The flagship electric MPV will be sold at Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will be available in a single, fully loaded variant only.
Speaking of the details, it offers a luxurious cabin experience with 16-way electrically adjustable second-row seats and an electrically sliding rear door. In terms of features, it is loaded with the following tech:
- Level 2 ADAS,
- Second-row seats with ventilation and heating
- Massaging seats
- Powered boss mode
- Welcome function for the driver and front passenger seats
- 13-speaker JBL music system
- Electronic parking brake
- Electronic tailgate
- Ambient lighting
- 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- 7-inch digital cockpit
- 360-degree camera
- 3 drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport
- 7 airbags
Powering the M9 EV is a 90 kWh battery pack, which is mated to a front-wheel drive electric motor. This powertrain develops 241 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The MIDC-claimed range of the M9 EV is 548 km on a full charge.
While there is no direct rival in the electric MPV segment for the M9, the closest rival is the 2025 Kia Carnival. The Carnival MPV is sold with a diesel engine option only, and it is substantially cheaper than the M9, with an equally loaded and comfortable cabin.
Our verdict
The new M9 EV is expected to find its way among premium car buyers and celebrities, which the Kia Carnival has been doing for now. However, JSW had to recently increase its stake in MG because SAIC has recently withdrawn its investment in the continously dipping MG’s sales.
