Maruti Suzuki has sent out “Block Your Date” invites for the e-Vitara launch on September 3, 2025. This marks Maruti’s entry into the EV segment with its first fully electric SUV. The made-in-India model already made its global debut in the UK and has been spotted testing extensively on home turf.

Bold design and distinctive styling

The e-Vitara uses Suzuki’s new High-Tech & Adventure design language. Its front fascia sports Y-shaped LED DRLs integrated into the headlamp cluster and a boldly sculpted bumper with fog lights. The rear features extended LED tail lamps linked by a glossy black strip and “e-Vitara” badging. Large wheel arches house 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, while the rear door handles hide neatly in the C-pillar. Buyers can choose from 10 colour options, including six mono-tone and four dual-tone schemes.

Powertrain: Flexible battery and motor choices

Underpinning the e-Vitara is the new Heartect-e platform, co-developed with Toyota. Maruti will offer two battery packs:

  • 49 kWh single-motor: 142 bhp, 189 Nm torque
  • 61 kWh single-motor: 172 bhp, 189 Nm torque
  • 61 kWh dual-motor AWD: 178 bhp, 300 Nm torque

The larger battery promises up to 428 km of ARAI-certified range, catering to both city commutes and longer drives.

Tech-rich cabin and top-tier safety

Inside, the e-Vitara features a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and adds a wireless phone charger, panoramic sunroof, and Harman sound system. Comfort comes from front ventilated seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and reclining rear seats with an air purifier.

Maruti has equipped the e-Vitara with Level 2 ADAS and up to seven airbags, along with TPMS, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, and electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
