KTM 160 Duke Launched at INR 1,84,998

Key highlights

  • Priced at INR 1,84,998 (ex-showroom Delhi), bookings now open nationwide
  • Available in three bold colours: Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, and Silver Metallic Matte
  • Packs 19 PS power and 15.5 Nm torque, making it the most powerful 160cc bike in India

KTM India has officially pulled the wraps off the all-new 160 Duke, priced at INR 1,84,998 (ex-showroom Delhi). This new entry into the premium 160cc segment replaces the Duke 125 and brings serious firepower to the streets. With 19 PS at 9500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 7500 rpm, the 160 Duke now holds the crown for the most powerful motorcycle in its class.

Colours

The 160 Duke comes in three head-turning shades:

  • Electronic Orange – classic KTM aggression
  • Atlantic Blue – cool and confident
  • Silver Metallic Matte – sleek and stealthy

Each colour complements the bike’s sharp tank extensions, exposed trellis frame, and minimal tail section. The design screams streetfighter, and the LED headlamp with DRLs adds just the right amount of menace.

Performance

Under the skin, the 160 Duke borrows heavily from its elder siblings. It features:

  • A 164.2cc liquid-cooled engine
  • WP Apex inverted forks and monoshock
  • 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS
  • 5-inch LCD console with smartphone connectivity for navigation, calls, and music

The bike weighs 147 kg, has a 10.1-litre fuel tank, and offers 174mm ground clearance. It’s built for city chaos and weekend thrills alike.

Smart, but not overdone

Unlike some rivals that throw in unnecessary tech, KTM keeps it focused. No TFT screen or traction control here and honestly, you don’t need it. The LCD display is crisp, and the bike’s handling is sharp enough to make you forget about gimmicks.

Our thoughts

This is KTM doing what KTM does best, making bikes that feel alive. The 160 Duke is a proper upgrade over the 125 Duke, and it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It’s fast, it’s loud, and it looks like it skipped leg day for upper body gains. If you’re stepping into the world of performance biking, this is a solid first date.
