In a move that’s equal parts style and strategy, Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd. of India and Tonino Lamborghini SpA of Italy have teamed up to launch a premium range of electric golf and lifestyle carts for global markets. Branded under the theme “Lifestyle in Motion”, the new lineup blends Italian design flair with Indian EV expertise, and aims to disrupt a segment that’s long overdue for a makeover.
The unveiling took place in New Delhi, with dignitaries including Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Italian Ambassador Dr. Antonio Bartoli in attendance. The event marked Kinetic Green’s formal entry into the bespoke four-wheeler EV space, and Tonino Lamborghini’s expansion into electric mobility.
Design meets functionality
The carts are available in 2-, 4-, 6-, and 8-seater configurations, catering to upscale venues like golf courses, luxury resorts, airports, gated communities, and corporate campuses. Two distinct series have been introduced:
- Genesis Range: A tribute to classic Italian design.
- Prestige Range: A futuristic take on luxury mobility.
Each cart carries the iconic red shield and charging bull emblem, a nod to Lamborghini’s legacy of bold design and performance.
Specifications
Under the hood, these carts pack a punch:
- 45 Nm torque and 30% gradeability for effortless climbs.
- Advanced lithium-ion battery with wireless charging, 10-year lifespan, and 150 km range.
- MacPherson suspension and four-wheel hydraulic brakes for smooth, stable rides.
Smart features include:
- TFT dashboard, hill-hold assist, and electronic parking brake
- Wireless mobile charging, LED headlights, and extended storage
- Universal drive capability for both left- and right-hand configurations
Global strategy and expansion
The joint venture, Kinetic Green Tonino Lamborghini Pvt. Ltd., has kicked off production at its Pune facility, with exports routed via Nhava Sheva port near Mumbai. Initial markets include India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Maldives, with plans to expand into Europe, USA, Southeast Asia, and New Zealand.
The JV aims to be present in 30 countries within five years, targeting $300 million in annual revenue. Long-term, Kinetic Green is chasing a $1 billion EV business by 2030.
