South Korean carmaker Hyundai is preparing to debut its luxury brand Genesis in India. The new luxury wing of Hyundai will expand the bandwidth of the brand into the premium luxury segment. Read more details below.

What to expect from Hyundai Genesis cars?
In a recent media interaction, Hyundai India’s top official has confirmed that the brand is working out to launch the Genesis premium car brand in India. While the details regarding which car will come first and what the brand’s approach is for India have not been shared, it is believed that the debut will take place by late 2025.
However, Hyundai has always been proactive in brand strategy and planning, and as a result of that, the Genesis GV80 SUV has already been homologated in India. Therefore, it is suspected that the GV80 is likely to become the first car to go on sale in India. The GV80 is a mid-size SUV that competes with the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and BMW X5 in the global market.
Speaking of Genesis as a brand, it is widely popular in select markets like South Korea. Genesis cars like the GV70 and the GV60 EV offer a great mix of features, luxury, comfort, and road presence. Backing it up is Hyundai’s flawless after-sales experience, which has helped Genesis grow internationally.
