Hyundai has officially taken the cover off its newest electric SUV, the Elexio. The new e-SUV has been specifically developed for the EV crazy Chinese market. Read all the details below.

Hyundai Elexio electric SUV complete details
The newly revealed Elexio is a big step forward for Hyundai as it features a distinguished design language and leaves the Ioniq moniker behind. The Elexio has been built with the BAIC Motor for the Chinese market.
Speaking of the exterior design, it features a grille-less front fascia with sleek LED headlamps and cube-style DRLs with a full-length lightbar. The front bumper has big air dams to increase efficiency.
The side profile has a sloping roof design with flush door handles and a darkened D-pillar. At the rear, it gets high-mounted connected LED lights and a sporty bumper. It also features a roof rack along with a panoramic sunroof.
On the inside, the Elexio gets a clean and spacious design theme with dual-tone leather upholstery. Moreover, the key highlight is its 27-inch slim infotainment screen and almost no physical buttons. The cabin has 29 storage spaces, which makes it one of the most versatile cars in the segment.
Hyundai will be offering the Elexio with two powertrain options: FWD and AWD. The FWD option gets a front-mounted 214 bhp electric motor with a CLTC-claimed range of 700 km. Meanwhile, the AWD version generates a cumulative power of 312 bhp. As it is based on the 800 E-GMP platform, it can be charged 30-80% in 27 minutes.
Hyundai has no plans to launch Elexio in the global markets. However, if it manages to sell well and becomes popular, Elexio can become a successful EV internationally.

The newly introduced Elexio e-SUV offers a unique design and features that make it stand apart from the top rivals like the BYD. Moreover, it has a long range that is useful for family-centric customers travelling between cities.
