Hero teases “Most Futuristic 125cc Motorcycle” ahead of launch

Key highlights

  • Hero MotoCorp teases a new 125cc motorcycle with bold futuristic claims
  • Spy shots suggest it’s the next-gen Glamour 125 with cruise control and digital tech
  • Launch expected this festive season with major design and feature upgrades

Hero MotoCorp has dropped a teaser for what it calls its “most futuristic 125cc motorcycle,” and if recent leaks are anything to go by, it’s almost certainly the next-generation Glamour 125. The teaser shows a sharp silhouette and bold graphics, while spy shots reveal a fully camouflaged test mule with segment-first features like cruise control, a digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity.

This isn’t just a facelift. The new Glamour 125 appears to be a full-blown redesign aimed at reclaiming market share from rivals like the Honda CB Shine and TVS Raider.

What’s new in the Glamour 125?

Based on leaked images and internal R&D sightings, here’s what the new Glamour 125 could offer:

  • Cruise control toggle integrated into the right-side switchgear
  • Fully digital LCD console with turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alerts, and call notifications
  • USB charging port as standard
  • Redesigned LED headlamp with sleek DRLs
  • Sharper bodywork with sportier contours and tank extensions
  • Refined suspension setup for better ride comfort

The bike is expected to retain its 124.7cc BS6 engine, producing around 10.5 PS and 10.4 Nm, but with improved throttle response and fuel efficiency thanks to tweaks in Hero’s i3S start-stop system.

Segment positioning and rivals

Hero’s new Glamour 125 will go head-to-head with:

  • Honda CB Shine – the current segment leader
  • TVS Raider 125 – known for its youthful styling and ride modes
  • Bajaj Pulsar NS125 – performance-focused with aggressive design

If Hero prices it around INR 90,000–INR 1 lakh, it could be a serious contender in the premium commuter space.

Our thoughts

The new Glamour 125 could be Hero’s comeback moment in the 125cc game. Cruise control in this segment? That’s wild, in a good way. If they throw in a cool name (please, not just ‘Glamour+’), and keep the price in check, it could just be the smartest commuter on Indian roads.
