What makes the CFMotor 150 Aura special?
The 150 Aura scooter is a style statement, a lifestyle product for buyers who want to look distinctive on the road and feel the retro charm embodied in a modern architecture. The design of the Aura scooter has been inspired by the retro scooters of the 1960s era, which came equipped with a practical yet elegant design.
Speaking of the styling, it features a circular LED headlamp, a sleek horizontal LED DRL strip on the front apron, a single seat, a large footboard area, brushed aluminium highlights, and a sloping rear end design with a sleek horizontal LED taillight. To complement its overall looks, the scooter gets multi-spoke 12-inch alloy wheels, which are also inspired by the retro scooters.
While its styling is retro, the 150 Aura scooter has been equipped with all the modern bells and whistles. The list of features on it includes a rectangular 6.2-inch TFT console with Bluetooth compatibility, navigation, tyre pressure monitoring system, keyless lock/unlock and ignition with NFC, rapid charging ports for phones, and more.
Powering the retro scooter is a 150cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It develops 15.8 bhp of peak power and 14.3 Nm of peak torque. This power is mated to a belt-driven CVT automatic transmission.
In the international market, the 150 Aura is a perfect rival to the retro scooters like the Vespa SXL 150. In fact, its launch price is also aggressive, as it is available at CNY 11,980 (Rs 1.46 lakh approximately). However, it is not coming to India anytime soon.
Our say
CFMoto has been working lately on the expansion of its product portfolio by introducing the new niche segment rivals, including the new 150 Aura scooter itself. However, it is ironic that such a competitive brand is not present in India, which is one of the largest two-wheeler markets in the world.
