BYD has finally taken the cover off the Atto 2 SUV in Europe. It is the most affordable electric SUV of the brand, and it will be offered with two battery options in the global market. Read its complete details below.

Everything you need to know about the BYD Atto 2
The new Atto 2 EV is based on the all-new CTB or Cell-to-Battery architecture. It is a new platform that offers a chassis-integrated battery to offer more rigidity and passenger safety. Moreover, it supports up to 115 kW of rapid charging, which allows the EV to be charged 30-80% in just 21 minutes.
In terms of the battery specifications, customers in Europe will be able to choose from two options: 51.1 kWh and 64.8 kWh. The 51.1 kWh battery pack offers a WLTP-claimed range of 345 km, while the bigger 64.8 kWh battery pack offers a maximum range of up to 420 km. Both versions are FWD.
BYD has equipped the Atto 2 with modern features like V2L (vehicle-to-load), a rotating 12.8-inch infotainment screen, an 8-speaker music system, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS safety features, and more.
Considering the fact that BYD is doing well in the Indian market and is expanding rapidly, we can safely assume that the Atto 2 will also be unveiled in India by the end of this year. Moreover, the Atto 2 test mules have already been spotted in Delhi NCR on road test runs.
With that said, the Atto 2 is a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and MG ZS EV in India. The expected launch price of the Atto 2 is around Rs 25 lakh.
