BMW M850 i Edition M Heritage – The special goodbye!

The newly introduced Edition M Heritage is based on the standard M850 i, but offers a distinctive outlook with its retro colours and special M kit. Limited to only 500 units, the new M850 i Edition M Heritage is offered in colours that are inspired by the original 1990s 8 Series car. These colours include: Bright Red, Mauritius Blue, Cosmos Black, Oxford Green, and Daytona Violet.

Meanwhile, to complement the exclusivity of the Edition M Heritage, BMW has equipped all 500 units with a carbon fibre roof painted with the tri-colour M stripes. Additionally, it features the special 20-inch forged alloy wheels that are inspired by the retro design of the original 8 Series that was sold in the 1990s.

Furthermore, BMW does not stop here, as the M850 i Edition M Heritage is equipped with the ‘M Sport Professional Package’ that offers a special body kit painted in black, black brake calipers, improved braking, and other add-ons to make it a perfect grand tourer car.

On the inside, it features Alcantara and Merino leather M seats with a diamond pattern, Alcantara leather on the headliner, dashboard, and door pads. The dashboard has been coated in carbon fibre to improve the overall feel. The door sills feature the “M850 i Edition M Heritage” plates with the “1/500” lettering. There are plenty of M badges inside the cabin, along with the covered cup holders.

Our say

The 8 Series is rumoured to face production end next year, and there is no replacement car coming any time soon. With that said, customers who love the 8 Series, the Edition M Heritage makes perfect sense to own the exclusivity.
