Range Rover Sport SV Carbon will make its debut on Aug 13

Key highlights

  • SV Carbon joins the Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, completing the flagship performance line-up
  • Powered by a 635PS twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine with carbon ceramic brakes and optional carbon fibre wheels
  • Interior features forged carbon seatbacks, illuminated SV logos, and four curated themes including leather-free options

Range Rover has officially unveiled the Sport SV Carbon, the final piece in its high-performance luxury SUV puzzle. Slated to make its global debut at Monterey Car Week on August 13, the SV Carbon is a bold interpretation of Range Rover’s performance ethos—lighter, sharper, and unapologetically premium.

Positioned alongside the Sport SV and SV Black, the SV Carbon is all about weight reduction and visual drama. It features a Forged Carbon Exterior Pack as standard, with stealthy carbon detailing around the quad exhausts. Buyers can opt for a Twill Carbon exposed bonnet, adding a motorsport-inspired edge to the SUV’s airflow-honed silhouette.

Performance

Under the bonnet sits a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine, delivering 635PS and 750Nm (800Nm in Dynamic Launch Mode). That’s enough to push the SV Carbon to a top speed of 180mph, making it the most powerful Range Rover Sport ever built.

The optional 23-inch carbon fibre wheels shave off unsprung mass, contributing to a 76kg weight saving. Add in carbon ceramic brakes with eight-piston SV calipers—available in blue, yellow, carbon bronze, or black—and you’ve got a luxury SUV that stops as hard as it goes.

Interior

Inside, the SV Carbon offers four curated themes, including Windsor Leather in Ebony, Rosewood/Ebony, Light Cloud/Ebony, and a leather-free Ultrafabrics™ option in Cinder Grey/Ebony. The forged carbon seatbacks, illuminated SV logos, and Moonlight Chrome accents create a cockpit that’s equal parts race-ready and lounge-worthy.

For those who want more, the SV Bespoke service allows up to 230 exterior colours and 1,500 interior combinations, turning the SV Carbon into a rolling canvas of personal expression.
