Key highlights
- XEV 9e Pack Two introduced with both 59 kWh and 79 kWh batteries
- Prices start at INR 24.90 lakh (ex-showroom), offering big-car features for less
- Same coupe SUV silhouette and cabin experience as the top variant, minus the fluff
Mahindra’s born-electric flagship coupe SUV the XEV 9e is now a lot more accessible thanks to Pack Two. Starting at INR 24.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 59 kWh version and INR 26.50 lakh for the 79 kWh version, the new Pack Two trims drop the price by a whopping INR 4 lakh compared to Pack Three (INR 30.50 lakh).
And here’s the good part, you still get most of what makes the XEV 9e look and feel premium. The signature sloping roofline, LED DRLs, R19 alloys, and that futuristic BE face are all here. Inside, it’s business class with a 17.7-inch infotainment display, a digital cockpit, panoramic fixed-glass roof, dual-zone climate control, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Performance & Range
Like the BE 6, both Pack Two trims of the XEV 9e get a single rear-mounted motor setup:
- 59 kWh variant: 231 PS, 380 Nm, 450 km MIDC range
- 79 kWh variant: 286 PS, 380 Nm, 547 km MIDC range
Charging from 20 to 80% takes under 21 minutes via superfast charging, and you get rear disc brakes, multi-link rear suspension, and a 10m turning radius.
What’s missing vs Pack Three?
You lose some premium bits like the ADAS suite with front radar and 360-degree vision camera, powered tailgate, and ventilated front seats. Also gone are the powered flush door handles and HUD display. But you still get all the daily luxuries like the powered driver seat, Apple CarPlay + Android Auto, and wireless charging.

Our thoughts
The XEV 9e Pack Two is like skipping business class on a flight but still getting the lounge, legroom, and a solid in-flight meal. If you don’t care much for every bell and whistle but want the same coupe silhouette, refined cabin, and that big Mahindra EV energy, this trim delivers a solid punch without punching your wallet.
