Tata Motors has announced a bold new move to boost consumer trust in electric mobility—a lifetime warranty on the high-voltage battery for its Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh variants. The warranty, valid for 15 years from the date of first registration, covers unlimited kilometres for the first registered owner, aligning with the Motor Vehicles Act’s definition of vehicle lifetime.
This warranty is not just for new buyers. Tata has confirmed that existing owners of these models will also benefit, provided they’ve followed the recommended service schedule and used authorised service centres2.

Why this matters?
Battery degradation is one of the biggest concerns for EV buyers. By offering a 15-year warranty, Tata is tackling range anxiety and long-term ownership fears head-on. This move also sets a new benchmark in India’s EV market, where most rivals offer 8-year warranties at best.
The Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh share the same battery pack, delivering 430–502 km MIDC range, depending on variant. Prices range from INR 12.49 lakh to INR 21.99 lakh, making them competitive against the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
