Kia is developing the next-gen Seltos for the world. The popular SUV is likely to grow in size, as the new rumours hint at a longer and bigger model. Read its complete details below.

2026 Kia Seltos size to grow – What do we know so far?
The upcoming new-gen Seltos has been under development for a long time. The South Korean carmaker has been road testing the new-gen model internationally and in India.
As per a latest online report, the new-gen Seltos will be 100 mm longer than the current model. If so, it will grow 4,465 mm in length, thus offering more interior space and a bigger cargo area, which is 433 litres currently.
The other changes will include a new chassis with improved strength and better handling and control. The design is also set to be revamped with new vertical LED DRLs and new headlights with a new grille, new alloy wheels, flush door handles, a new rear shape with connected LED lights, etc.
Meanwhile, its interiors will also get a redesigned shape with a new dashboard and a triple-connected screen display for the infotainment and speedometer. More space means it will get new seats, more legroom and headroom for the rear passengers, and advanced features like panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, and more.
Powering the new-gen Seltos will be the same engine and gearbox options as the current model. However, Kia is rumoured to introduce a new petrol hybrid engine, which will likely take on the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder hybrid cars.
The expected debut timeline of the 2026 Seltos is by the end of this year or early next year. The new model will be priced substantially higher than the current car.

While the Seltos was the primary car to establish Kia’s brand name in India, it has faded with time. Rivals with better equipment or efficient engines have taken over the Seltos sales. The new-gen model will possibly recover the sales graph of the Seltos in India.
