2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: What is new?
The newly updated ZX-6R gets a visual update for the MY26. It is now available in a Lime Green paint shade with the new white and blue graphics on the side fairing and panels.
Kawasaki has priced the new model at Rs 11.69 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 60,000 more expensive than the outgoing bike with no considerable updates as such.
In terms of styling, the ZX-6R is loaded with an aggressive front fascia with a twin-pod LED headlamp, a committed riding posture, split seat, sculpted fuel tank, and an overall design that mimics the bigger ZX-10R.
Feature-wise, it is loaded with a TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, ride modes, traction modes, navigation support, music and SMS/call support, LED lights, a quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, and more.
Powering the ZX-6R is a 636cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine that offers 129 bhp of peak power and 69 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch.
There are no direct rivals of the new ZX-6R in India, but the new Honda CBR650R can be considered its nearest competitor.
Our say
The new ZX-6R offers a fresh flair of change in design with its new colourway. However, the price increase of Rs 60,000 just for the colour update seems unreasonable for new customers, as the bike is mostly unchanged from the MY25 model.
