Everything you need to know about the 2026 BMW iX3 EV
The upcoming iX3 electric SUV will be the second generation of the BMW’s mid-size EV. However, unlike the current iX3 which is based on the ICE platform, the second-gen model has been suspended over an all-new ‘Neue Klasse’ all-electric architecture.
Hence, the design, interior space, performance, and efficiency of it are expected to exceed the current model by multiple times. In fact, BMW has already revealed that some of the variants of the new iX3 will offer up to 800 km of range and AWD capability as well.
The teaser image released on the internet shows an all-new design language with a closed grille design and illuminated elements like the new twin vertical LED DRLs, kidney grille shape, and the BMW logo.
On the inside, it will feature a flat floor design with more comfort and spacious interiors. Moreover, it will also debut the latest-gen Level 2 ADAS and the most advanced BMW iDrive system, called the BMW Operating System X.
After its global reveal in the next few days, BMW is likely going to put it on sale in Europe later this year. Therefore, India’s launch is expected next year, and the car is suspected to be made at the Chennai-based facility of the company.
Our say
The new-gen iX3 will not only offer a new design, interiors, and features, but it will also set a new benchmark in terms of battery performance and drivability. More details will be revealed on September 5; until then, stay tuned.
