  • Three new colour options: Ice Storm, Vivid Violet Metallic, and Metallic Silver Cyan
  • Prices start at INR 1.69 lakh for STD and INR 1.80 lakh for DLX (ex-showroom, Delhi)

India Yamaha Motor has officially launched the 2025 MT-15 Version 2.0, giving its popular street-naked motorcycle a tech-forward refresh and a splash of new paint. Available in STD and DLX variants, the updated MT-15 now starts at INR 1.69 lakh, with the DLX trim priced at INR 1.80 lakh.

The headline upgrade is the colour TFT display on the DLX variant, which now supports Turn-by-Turn Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity via the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Riders can access features like maintenance alerts, fuel consumption tracking, parking location, revs dashboard, and even a rider ranking system because, bragging rights matter.

New Colours

Yamaha has introduced three fresh shades to keep things visually exciting:

  • Ice Storm (DLX): A globally popular MT-series colour, now in India
  • Vivid Violet Metallic (DLX): Bold, youthful, and unapologetically loud
  • Metallic Silver Cyan (STD): Aggressive and urban, with serious street presence

The existing Metallic Black continues to be offered across both variants.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the MT-15 Version 2.0 remains unchanged—and that’s a good thing. It’s powered by the proven 155cc liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), delivering 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The 6-speed gearbox with Assist & Slipper Clutch ensures smooth shifts and reduced wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.

The inclusion of Traction Control System (TCS) adds a layer of safety, especially on slippery surfaces—still a rarity in this segment.

Chassis and Ride Dynamics

Built on Yamaha’s Delta Box frame, the MT-15 continues to offer sharp handling, thanks to its MotoGP-inspired aluminium swingarm, USD front forks, and a lightweight 141 kg kerb weight. Whether you’re slicing through city traffic or carving weekend corners, the MT-15 stays planted and playful.
