2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 price drop details
The launch of the new MY26 KLX 230 has created a strong buzz in the Indian motorcycle community. The iconic entry-level adventure/dirt bike is now priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it a whopping Rs 1.31 lakh cheaper than the outgoing model.
Not just that, but the new bike also features technical changes. The suspension travel on both ends has been reduced now. This comes after the ownership feedback hinted at uncomfortable ride quality due to the longer suspension travel. Meanwhile, the dual-channel ABS has been replaced by a single-channel ABS unit, which is a result of the cost-saving effort.
However, the rest of the motorcycle remains unaltered. The nimble design and compact dimensions of the KLX 230, combined with its lightweight chassis, make it a fun-to-ride everyday bike for trails and off-roading. It has a peppy 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled unit, which makes 18.3 bhp of peak power and 19 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The KLX 230 comes equipped with modern features like an LCD console, Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlight, and more. Its only rival in India is the Hero Xpulse 210.
Our say
The new price revision has made the KLX 230 one heck of a deal for the entry-level adventure motorcycle customers. It offers great value now, as it is already equipped with a strong built quality, peppy engine, and easy dynamics to learn off-roading.
