Marrying heritage with modern engineering, the 2025 Indian Scout range has officially arrived in India. The iconic cruiser, known for blending classic American styling with strong performance, now gets a new generation that promises to be more accessible, more customizable, and more tech-focused than before.

Model lineup and engines

The 2025 Scout family is offered in eight variants: Scout Sixty Classic, Scout Sixty Bobber, Sport Scout Sixty, Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout, and the flagship 101 Scout. Prices start at INR 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Scout Sixty Bobber and go up to INR 16.15 lakh for the Super Scout.

The entry models feature the reintroduced 999cc SpeedPlus engine, producing 85 HP and 87 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Higher-spec models get the all-new 1250cc SpeedPlus V-Twin, churning out 105 HP and 109 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission. Both engines are liquid-cooled, promising smooth power delivery and improved rideability.

Tech and Features

Indian has added three technology trims across the range: Standard, Limited, and Limited +Tech. Even the base trim offers ABS, LED lighting, and a new analogue gauge with fuel readouts. The Limited trim introduces traction control, cruise control, USB charging, and ride modes. The top-spec Limited +Tech gets a 101 mm touchscreen powered by Ride Command with navigation, ride stats, and connected services.

Ergonomics remain a highlight with a low 680 mm seat height, lightweight chassis, and balanced handling. Models like the Scout Bobber carry a stripped-down look, while the Super Scout offers touring-friendly features such as saddlebags, a windshield, and pillion seat. The 101 Scout sits at the performance end with Brembo brakes, adjustable suspension, and aggressive styling.

Competitors and market positioning

In India, the Scout family rivals Harley-Davidson’s Nightster and Sportster S, as well as Triumph’s Bonneville and Rocket range. By starting at ₹12.99 lakh, Indian Motorcycle is targeting a wider group of riders who want an authentic American cruiser experience without entering heavyweight territory.
